Projects and Dependency Directories

Because Projects change overtime, for example a production version of a Project may look different from a development version of a Project, the source code directories that are referenced for the build also changes.  For this reason, you have the ability to assign different sets of Dependency Directories to your Project.  Dependency Directories list the source code and library directories that will be used during your build.  Dependency Directories reference all source code directories and all 3rd party component directories that are needed for a successful compile, link, or archive process.

You must have Administrator access to create Projects.  Each Project must be defined with at least one (1) Dependency Directory List.   Dependency Directories can be used to organize the Project builds in terms of release levels, or life cycles.  Projects and Dependency Directories together can be used to organize Parallel development activities, so that Projects are managed with respect to both the release level and life cycle stages.
