Email Notifications in Your Workflow

 

It is recommended that your Workflow use some level of notification to broadcast to users the status of a Workflow. Table DW-6 demonstrates how to add a Send Email step into your Workflow.  Table WM-13 walks you through the steps to setup the Send Email Workflow Activity.

Select the Notifications plug-in located within the Add Activities field.

Click the Send E-mail activity.

Click OK.*

Complete the required fields

Choose a dependency status Success. Your newly created workflow activity, Send Email, will depend on the successful completion of the previous workflow activity.

Click OK. The attributes of the relationship will appear in the Dependencies field.

 

* Note:  The Knowledge Base Server must be configured to send email in order for the Notify Activity Plug-ins to work.
